Dr Art Copes has had an impressive life in the world of scoliosis and scoliosis treatment. His research knowledge spans over 27 years. During this time span, he has lectured, authored, and advanced the treatment of scoliosis for patient to all corners of the world. His vast knowledge and experience of scoliosis has propelled the non-surgical treatment protocol by 15 years ahead of his colleagues. Dr. Copes has treated daughters of Orthopedic doctors, Pediatricians, Nurses, Chiropractors and Statesmen.

Dr. Copes has been in is own private practice for over twenty-five years developing the proven protocols of non-surgical scoliosis correction. His established treatments are composed of Biomechanical correction, Neurological correction, and Cellular Dynamics correction. Each above physiological area have five categories with sub categories. One cannot achieve scolotic correction by treating one front alone.

His Orthotic education began in Delgado College/ Tulane Medical School. He performed his Orthotic medical internship and residency program at Mary Free Bed Hospital and Rehabilitation Center of Grand Rapids, Michigan. During his residency program orthopedic rounds were made at Mary Free Bed Hospital, Blodgett and Butterworth Hospital. Dr Copes was one of three staff Orthotist in the State Spinal Cord and Cerebral Palsy clinic. Attended State Orthopedic and Scolotic Clinics. Acquired additional training at Northwestern Medical School in the areas of Lower Limb Orthotics and Upper Limb Orthotics and Spinal Orthotics. He obtained his Doctorate of Philosophy from Columbia Pacific University in 1989. Dr. Copes continues to advance is education in Neuro-Opthamology, Bioenergetics and Naturopathic medicine.

Correction of idiopathic scoliosis begins with individual assessment in curve progression, spinal/trunk muscles weakness, eye/ ear/ hand coordination, neuron-transmitters imbalances, and cellular hormonal deficiency. Once precise data is collected, individual course of treatment action is taken to stop the curve progression, strengthen exercise of the spine and limb muscles, resetting the balancing reflex of the C.N., supporting the immune system with proper diet and supplements. The old adage of “we wait and see” leads to reactive action, emotional decision and future regrets.
